Shazad Mardhani, P.Eng.Principal

Shazad Mardhani is the Executive Vice President of Imperium Developments. Originally from Richmond, England and residing in Edmonton, Alberta since the mid 80’s, Shazad completed his Civil Engineering Bachelor’s degree from the University of Alberta in 2001.Prior to founding Imperium Developments, Shazad worked extensively in the construction and oil patch industries in Alberta. The journey began with gained experience as a Project Coordinator at Aman Building Corporation and PCL, learning how to manage projects effectively. The move was then made to the Owner’s side with BHP Billiton Diamonds at the North West Territories of Canada Ekati Diamond Mine, entrenching in the knowledge of systems and effective cost management.Shazad then moved on to lead Imperium Developments on a series of successful projects as the Vice President of Development working under the watchful eye of several key partners until 2010. Presently Shazad works to ensure the successful delivery of a number of strategic developments in Edmonton including the re-development and re-positioning of the Maxworth Plaza in the Downtown district of Edmonton.

Volunteer Experience:
Shazad is an avid volunteer in Edmonton working primarily with the Ismaili Volunteer Corps since 2007 in the Disaster and Humanitarian Relief division. Additionally, Shazad is a Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) member for the West Edmonton region through the same organization.
